YOUNG DOG & GUN DOG PROGRAM

MEET LOGAN SAMPSEL

YOUNG & GUN DOG TRAINER

Logan Sampsel was born and raised in Livingston County, Missouri.  His family includes parents, Jason and Kristi, younger brother, Lincoln, and a sister,Lendley Kate.  Logan attended Southwest Livingston County R-1 School District for 13 years.  During high school, he was a 4-year member of the Chillicothe FFA, All District Baseball Player, and All State Football Player.

Logan has had a love of anything hunting related since he could walk.  Starting out like most kids, going hunting with his dad, it quickly developed into his passion.  Logan’s mom, Kristi, says that he spent every free moment learning and absorbing all he could by reading hunting related books, articles, and watching the hunting shows that filled their DVR.  He was taught at a young age to respect the wildlife, their habitats, and the land.  Around the age of 10, Logan became especially interested in waterfowl hunting and by the time he was in high school, that focus went to training the retriever dogs.
Straight out of high school, Logan took a full-time position at Castile Creek Kennels, and under Lyle’s leadership is pursuing his dream every day.  He is the assistant trainer in charge of the young and gun dog program.  As well as helping to train future Master Retriever and Super Retriever dogs.     The future looks very bright for Logan and we are pleased to have him on Team Castile.
