Competitive Retriever Training

Castile Creek Kennels is a Nationally known retriever training facility specializing in AKC/HRC Hunt Tests, Super Retriever Series Events, and High Quality Gun Dogs.
Gun Dog Training

Our Gun Dog Program is a comprehensive training program designed to cultivate the natural hunting instincts and skills of your retriever. The program focuses on teaching fundamental obedience, retrieving and advanced fieldwork to create well-rounded gun dog. The program introduces basic commands like sit, and heel, gradually progressing to more advanced commands such as handling multiple retrieves and working in various terrains. With an emphasis on developing reliable retrieves, marking skills, and steadiness, the Basics Retriever Gun Dog Program equips dogs with the necessary foundation to excel in the field.
Boarding

At Castile Creek Kennels, LLC we offer 7-day a week service. Our 24 large indoor kennels are climate controlled year round. We board ALL breeds of dogs. We also have 20 outdoor kennels available year round. Four large airing yards offer much playtime for your dog. Call to make appointments and to get more information on drop-off and pick-up times.
The charge is $35/day per dog. Long term boarding is available call for more details.

We are proud to offer professional retriever training, handling, and boarding. We are a fully insured, full time, and full service training facility owned and operated by Lyle and Stephanie Steinman. We are located 30 minutes North of Kansas City, MO in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway. Our focus is training & campaigning retrievers in both AKC and HRC hunt tests, Super Retriever Series events, and building High Quality Gun Dogs. We believe in hard work, taking care of the dogs, and being honest with our clients.
